An amazing collection spanning from the 1860's to 1950's from the E. E. Kready General Merchandise Store, Manheim, PA. After closing in 1957 all of the groceries sat untouched on the shelves for 40 years - a bounty of treasures to be had. Terms and Conditions

1.Hess Auction Service Inc. has made all efforts of describing the lots to the best ability.  The lots are 
being sold 'As-Is' all sales final.  Bidders are asked to inspect the property before bidding to determine 
its condition, size & any restorations.  Catalog descriptions include condition & size where possible.  
The auctioneer reserves the right to make verbal corrections to & provide any additional information 
concerning the item on the auction block.  Any questions regarding the condition of an item, please 
contact the auction house prior to the sale.  If you are unsure about a lot, for any reason, Do Not Bid.  
No items may be returned for any reason.

By Bidding, You Are Accepting The Above Sale Conditions.

2.There is no buyer's premium the day of the sale, at the auction location only.  
Ebay bidders will be charged a 10% buyer's premium.

3.Bidders are required to register with full photo identification prior to the beginning of the sale and 
are required to use the bidder number issued to them when identifying themselves as the successful 
bidder.  Online bidders must complete registration through the Ebayliveauctions.com website.  
Please register early to make sure you are approved.

4.Full payment of purchaser's account must be received by the auction house at the end of the 
auction sale or upon check-out.  Terms are cash or check unless other arrangements have been 
made with the auction company prior to the date of the sale.  Payment in US funds only.

If any check given is not honored by the bank for any reason (NSF, stop payment, etc.) you agree 
whether the check is signed by you as the maker or endorser, that such check will be placed in the 
hands of an attorney for collection, to pay reasonable attorney's suit fees incurred.

5.The highest bidder will be declared the buyer.  In all cases of a disputed bid the lot will be resold, 
but the auctioneer will use his judgment as to good faith of all claims.  Auctioneer decisions is final.

6.All merchandise purchased at the site must be removed by the purchaser at his own risk 
immediately after the close of the sale, unless other arrangements have been previously made for 
storage & shipping.  Any purchases which will need to be shipped, are at the purchasers risk, 
responsibility & cost.  Hess Auction Services Inc. will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or other 
dispute that may be caused by said agent or employee.

All shipping will be handled by the UPS Store, Ephrata, PA. (717) 733-1482, International: USPS.

7.This is a privately owned and operated auction.  We reserve the right to refuse admittance 
to any person, or eject from the auction site for any misconduct.

8.Bidding on merchandise automatically constitutes agreement with the conditions of sale.

9.No transfer of purchased goods will be allowed from one buyer to another.  Please watch over your 
children; you are responsible for any damage you or they may cause.

10.All auction sales will be subject to the laws of the state of Pennsylvania.

Absentee Bids are accepted with a deposit of 25% before the auction lot occurs.  Any bids which 
are unsuccessful will be refunded to the bidder.  If a duplicate bid should occur, the first placed 
bid will be accepted & take precedence.  Sales are final and to be paid in full immediately.

Phone Bidding is available, but limited.  Please make arrangements 24 hours prior to the sale.  Only 
approved bidders will be able to bid by phone.

The auction will also be streaming live on Ebayliveauctions.com.  Registered bidders wishing to 
participate in online bidding, we ask that you bid quickly or leave an online absentee bid, in 
order to be sure your bid is not missed.  The auctioneer will use his own judgment if any such 
problems shall arise.  Hess Auction Service Inc. will not be held responsible if an online bid is missed 
or skipped - the auction floor will have precedence.
